Who dies? Zoe or Sarah?

The team behind Hollyoaks Later have this afternoon released two images of funeral wreaths, further adding to speculation over which long-term castmember will plunge to their death when their parachute is sabotaged and subsequently fails to operate.

In scenes to be aired on Thursday, October 1, tensions between Sarah, Zoe and Lydia (Lydia Kelly) reach boiling point. Believing that Sarah's seeing Zoe behind her back, Lydia's consumed with jealousy and decides on suicide. However, at the last minute, she decides to sabotage one of the girls' parachutes instead. Lydia's further left in turmoil as the packs are mixed up.

A guilt-ridden Lydia then takes to the skies with Zoe and Sarah and she reluctantly stands back in the plane, completely unaware whether Sarah or Zoe has the tampered-parachute on their back...

Yesterday, the paparazzi were out in force in the grounds of a church where the Hollyoaks cast and crew were filming the aftermath of the Hollyoaks Later death and a red wreath spelling out 'Sarah' could be seen in one of the photos.

However, producers today further muddied the waters by confirming that two endings to the story have been filmed - one in which Sarah Barnes (Loui Batley) falls to her death and the other in which Zoe Carpenter (Zoë Lister) perishes at the hands of a saboteur.

Tragic skydive death for 'Hollyoaks Later'

I hope its not Zoe that dies..nooo.

Hollyoaks Later is to screen a soap first next month when one of the show's leading characters plunges to their death in a tragic parachute incident, Digital Spy can exclusively reveal.

Filming for the late-night E4 spinoff took place at Tatenhill airfield, Staffordshire, earlier this week where the production team used a storage area and a static plane for the scenes.

One of the four storyline strands within the five hour-long episodes sees Sarah Barnes (Loui Batley, left), Zoe Carpenter (Zoë Lister, below right) and Lydia Hart (Lydia Kelly, below left) embark on a boot camp and as part of the intense regime, the trio take to the skies to try out skydiving.

However, unbeknown to the girls, one of their parachutes has been sabotaged by a member of the group and when each pulls their ripcord cord, one fails to operate, sending them plummeting to the ground below.

The identity of the unfortunate girl is being kept a secret until the episode airs.

Producers have confirmed, though, that Batley and Lister are quitting the main Channel 4 show.

Mike Shelton, chief executive of Tatenhill airfield, told Burton Mail: "We had known that they would be coming about a week ago. It wasn't particularly high profile as our staff were not really involved in the filming. We had one staff member show them around the area, but they mainly filmed near our storage area, not very close to our operations."

He added: "They mainly filmed in the early evening after we had stopped flying so our work carried on as normal. All the filming they did was static so there was no flying involved. I believe they did use one plane to film but never flew in it."

This year's edition of Later is headed up by former Hollyoaks producer Bryan Kirkwood.

The five hour-long episodes of Hollyoaks Later are due to transmit on consecutive weekday nights on E4 from September 28.

Secret HO scenes..

A TOP secret episode of a popular Channel 4 television soap has been filmed in Burton, The Mail can exclusively reveal.

Three main characters from the cast of Hollyoaks, which is normally set in Chester, filmed the scenes at Tatenhill Airfield.

Airfield staff looked on in astonishment as cast members Lydia Kelly, Loui Batley and Zoe Lister, who play Lydia Hart, Sarah Barnes and Zoe Carpenter, rolled up at the airfield for the two-day filming session on Wednesday.

Hollyoaks chief had ordered that the filming be conducted in secret with a ban placed on airfield workers talking about the visit.

However, the Mail can reveal that the filming, which began on Wednesday and continued yesterday, was for a dramatic episode of the soap in which a leading character from the cast dies.

While staff at Tatenhill have been told by Channel 4 bosses and film crews to remain tight-lipped over the exact details of the particular storyline, it is known that two of the characters are to leave the soap soon, with one of them making a ‘tragic’ exit.

Now speculation is mounting that one of the actors involved in this week’s filming will meet a bloody end during the episode flmed at Tatenhill.

An airfield source said: “We were amazed when televsion trucks arrived a n d they set up all their gear to start filming at the airfield. The three girls from the show were all there.

You would expect them to be all dressed to the nines, but actually they looked pretty ordinary.” Actress Loui Batley’s character has been a main member of the cast since joining in 2005, followed by Zoe Lister. Lydia Hart joined the soap this year.

The scenes filmed at Tatenhill are due to be aired in October.
