Zoe Lister to tour in the play 'TEECHERS'

Some more amazing news, I love it!
Zoe will be touring the UK in the play 'TEECHERS' as Gail Saunders from the 16th of August until the 4th of December, 2010. Presented by Hull Truck Theatre Company. Cannot wait to see this, here is a little about it..

Starring Zoe Lister (Hollyoaks)

Remember your school days? The dreaded detentions, soggy semolina, snogging behind the bike sheds and breaktime bust-ups?! Well prepare to be catapulted back to the classroom and take a raw and riotous look at life in a typical British school, in this classic comedy from BAFTA winner John Godber.

Meet the staff; the trendy young Drama teacher making his shaky debut; the Deputy Head who rules the school with an iron rod; the gentle Humanities teacher who is desperate for a quiet life; Doug, the grumpy old Caretaker, and the Headmistress – a boisterous battleaxe and some-time Amateur Dramatics star! And prepare yourselves for the pupils; a wayward mob of disruptive delinquents – determined to wreak havoc, hormones and horror throughout the school!
Nostalgia, mischief and mayhem reign supreme in this classic classroom drama!

Class warfare, teacher’s tantrums, sex and the shortcomings of the state system – marvellously funny

Hollyoaks Parachute Jump up for Spectacular Scene at BSA's 2010

The outstanding Hollyoaks Parachute Jump scene involving Zoe Lister, Loui Batley, Lydia Kelly and others is up for Spectacular Scene at the British Soap Awards 2010. Zoe throwing herself out of a plane for real for a scene deserves an award on it's own in my opinion and of course Loui swinging from some sort of crane all day filming the death scene! Clearly the best scene ever on a British soap! Surely Hollyoaks should have this award in the bag?! We hope so!

Lister: 'Hollyoaks jokes are annoying' +pic of Zoe @ The Closet Launch

Taken from Digital Spy.

Former Hollyoaks actress Zoë Lister has admitted that she gets annoyed when people make jokes about the soap.

The 28-year-old, who left her role as Zoe Carpenter on the serial last year, confirmed that it can be disheartening when the cast's hard work is mocked.

Speaking to Take 5 magazine, Lister explained: "It's a shame. I took it seriously because it was my job and I'm an actor.

"I get annoyed when people make fun, but at the same time it is what it is and it doesn't take itself too seriously. It can be bubblegum but it also deals with pretty big issues."

The star added that she remains grateful for the gritty storylines she was given throughout her three-year stint on the drama.

She said: "In the past, the students in Hollyoaks have often been overlooked, so it was great that Zoe developed and changed so much."

Also Zoe attended 'The Closet' launch party last night in Liverpool.

Celebs pick up pace for Pump Aid!

Race for charity
Got anything planned for April 18th? Pump Aid, the leading water charity is calling on 8,000 people to dust off those running shoes and take part in the London Dow Live Earth Run for Water event and raise money.

Pump Aid, supported by celebs such as Corinne Bailey Rae, Kym Marsh, Hollyoaks' Zoe Lister and loads more, is the sole beneficiary of the UK Live Earth Run for Water London event and aspires to raise as much money as possible on the 18th April to help solve the global water crisis. The charity itself provides clean water to Malawi, Zimbabwe and Liberia through their unique ‘Elephant Pump’.

Their aim? To get 8,000 people to sign up to the 6km run – the average and unthinkable distance vulnerable women and children walk to collect clean water, often taking them 5 hours a day!

LET'S GET INVOLVED EVERYONE! :)

Zoe Lister - Inside Soap Magazine - 23-29 of Jan.

Here is an article from this weeks Inside Soap mag about Zoe's exit from Hollyoaks, Zoe Lister herself talks about it, I typed it up plus if you just click on the image above it should enlarge!

It’s a bittersweet farewell for Zoe Carpenter as she leaves Chester to travel the world this week. After everything she’s been through, it’s not surprising the poor girl wants to get away - but she does take a couple of companions with her as she embarks on her adventure…

“Zoe was accused of murdering her best mate, Sarah Barnes, got stabbed by Lydia and failed her degree so she hasn’t exactly been in a good place,” says Zoe Lister, who plays the globetrotting blonde. “She’s realised the value of life and how short it is, so she really wants to make the most of things.”

To begin with, Zoe prepares to go away with pal Kris - and soon everyone wants to join them. “Zak and Michaela are keen on the idea, and so is Hannah.” explains Zoe. “Kris and Zoe try to persuade Nancy to go, but she has too many responsibilities with little Charlie. There could have been a mass exodus!”

However, one by one, Zoe’s mates drop out and she has second thoughts about her trip - until former flame Mike intervenes. “She feels scared about going on her own - then she bumps into Mike , who spurs her on,” shares Zoe. “They have a chat and she inadvertently gives him an invite to go travelling as well. So, at the last minute, he turns up. Zoë’s a little bemused by it all, but then decides it’ll be fun and they should go together.”

What the ex-lovers don’t bargain on, however is Gilly accompanying them on their trip. “Things aren’t working out with Steph , so Gilly wants to get away,” reveals Zoe. “I don’t think he’s the travelling type, though , so im not sure how long he’ll be gone.”

Emotions run high as Zoe says goodbye to her loved ones - but will it be a sunset ending for her and Barnesey? “No, it’s not - Tony Hirst [Mike] and I have discussed the fact that they leave in the same taxi, but essentially do their own thing and meet up here and there,” muses Zoe. “They’ve been through such a lot together and this resolves their story. Im so glad Zoe gets a happy ending.”

OVER THE RAINBOW

Zoe felt sentimental about leaving Hollyoaks after almost four years, and admits that her last day on set was poignant. “We shoot out of sequence but my last scene was Zoe walking through the village, talking to herself,” she recalls. “It was chucking it down and, all of a sudden this massive double rainbow came out. That was very emotional for me as well as a bit weird.”
