Zoe Lister believes her Hollyoaks character is having a break from men in order to sort out her own problems.

Zoe's alter-ego Zoe Carpenter has gone out with her best friend's father, been stalked by a lover and even dated the dastardly Darren Osborne.

But the actress said: "I think she's been in and out of so many relationships and her life is at a bit of a juncture; she probably needs to sort her head out, sort her career, knuckle down really and not get bogged down into a relationship because everything takes a backseat when you're in one."

Film cheat Zoe Carpenter

'Hollyoaks' Zoe Carpenter is to be exposed as a cheat.

The film student - played by Zoe Lister -is about to be found out by her ex-lover, Mike Barnes, for stealing one of his most personal scripts and passing it off as her own.
Mike (Tony Hirst) dramatically uncovers her secret after the film is picked out and screened in the Student Union bar.
Actress Zoe explains: "She wanted to forget about the project the minute she handed it in. But Adrian thinks it's the best piece of work he's ever seen - and decides it needs to be shown in public."
Zoe's plagiarism could be enough to end her dreams of going to film school if it is uncovered, but it is also a shock for her best friend in the soap Sarah (Loui Batley) - Mike's daughter - because it is about her early life.
Zoe added: "In the script Mike talks about how he and Sarah's mum, Kathy, considered putting their first child up for adoption.
"Sarah Storms out and confronts Mike who's so furious he ends up telling lecturer Adrian of Zoe's deceit."

When she bumps into Mike, he asks to see her film and she really begins to panic, certain she'll be rumbled for her plagiarism. Zoe heads to the bar to drink away her worries and Adrian once again steps in to remind her that this really is her last chance

Zoe appears in the latest Heat magazine along with other Hollyoaks girls, Carley Stenson(Steph), Jennifer Metcalfe(Mercedes), Stephanie Waring(Cindy), Nathalie Emmanuel(Sasha) and Hollie-Jay Bowes(Michaela) They did a photoshoot with no make-up as part of Heats on going campaign to show celebs as they really look(see Zoe Lister above) She's still as gorgeous! Zoe also answered a few questions...

Do you ever go out without make-up?
I wouldn't normally, no. I don't mind if im going to the gym, but on a night out, I wouldn't dream of not wearing any!

What do you think of your face when you look in the mirror?
Im happy with myself without make-up, but I think I look much better with it on.

Any insecurities?
I feel really pale without make up. I look like im dead or something. But im lucky even though im blonde, my eyelashes are quite dark, which helps.

What do you think of woman who don't wear make-up?
I think it's nice if people learn to be comfortable with themselves because that is how we look underneath.

What made you agree to do this shoot?
I think it's good for everyone to see celebs with no make-up on, because it makes them realise they're normal people and aren't always perfectly groomed.
